30 Sai No Hoken Episode 1

Are you ready for a wild ride into the world of dating and intimacy? Well, hold on tight because 30 Sai No Hoken is here to shake things up! In this hilarious anime series, we follow the misadventures of Hayao Imagawa, a shy 30-year-old salaryman, as he embarks on a journey to lose his virginity. But he’s not alone in this quest, as he is accompanied by Daigorou, a god sent from heaven to guide him in this unusual endeavor.

An Outrageous Idea

Have you ever come across something so outrageous that it made you question the sanity of the creators? Well, that’s exactly how I felt while watching 30 Sai No Hoken. From the very first 6 minutes, I couldn’t help but ask myself, “What were they thinking?” The concept of a show centered around a guidebook for 30-year-olds to have sex is undeniably terrible. And unfortunately, the execution doesn’t do much to redeem it.

The Crippling Censorship

One of the most frustrating aspects of this series is the excessive censorship used throughout. Not only are certain parts of the human body censored, but even the lessons and important dialogue about sex are blurred out. I mean, seriously, what’s the point of giving a lesson if you can’t even hear what’s being said? It’s a major letdown for a show that claims to educate and entertain on the subject of intimacy.

If you’re curious about watching 30 Sai No Hoken, my advice is to wait for the DVD/BD release in the hopes that it will be uncensored. Trust me, you’ll save yourself from the frustration of missing out on crucial information.

Dog Days Episode 1

Let’s switch gears and dive into a fantastical world filled with adventure and magic! Dog Days takes us on a thrilling journey to the land of Fronaldo, where the Republic of Biscotti is under attack by the Lion Kingdom of Galette. In a desperate bid for salvation, Princess Millhiore summons a hero who can save their beloved country. Little does she know, Izumi Shinku, an ordinary middle-school boy from Japan, is about to become the unlikely savior.

A Generic Fantasy Story… with a Twist

At first glance, Dog Days may seem like another run-of-the-mill fantasy tale. And, in many ways, it is. The character designs, music, and voice acting all fall into the realm of familiarity. However, beneath its generic exterior, this series manages to captivate with its endearing charm. The backgrounds are visually stunning, and it’s impossible to hate any of the characters, even though they lack substantial development.

The battles in Dog Days provide a fun and entertaining spectacle. While they aren’t particularly intense, they deliver a lighthearted experience that will keep you engaged. No one dies in this world, as even fatal blows result in the characters transforming into adorable cat-like creatures reminiscent of those in Lucky Star. Despite its shortcomings, this series is a pleasant way to spend your time, offering the fluffy escapism we sometimes crave.
