Designing Characters with Purpose

With Redo of Healer’s diverse character lineup, Junji Gotou faced exciting challenges in designing each one. Thanks to the original work’s illustrator, Siokonbu-sensei, who provided a plethora of illustrations, Junji had a solid foundation to work with. Taking into account the changing personalities and gradual growth of the characters throughout the story, Junji paid careful attention to capturing the essence of each character. For example, even when Flare’s personality transformed into Freia, Junji ensured that her appearance still reflected elements of Flare.
