Kachou No Koi

Love at the Office

Have you ever wondered what happens when a high-profile company boss, who has always been a bachelor, suddenly finds himself confronted with the truth about his sexuality? Well, you’re about to find out. In the anime series “Kachou No Koi,” a mid-sized company boss finds himself in deep denial until a young man joins the company and confesses his feelings. This revelation sets off a chain of events that leads to hilarious boys-love jokes.

First Impressions

Alright, let’s get real. This is the second yaoi/boys-love show I’ve had to watch recently, and I have a confession to make: I won’t be reviewing any more yaoi anime from this point forward. It’s just not my cup of tea. However, for those who enjoy the genre, this show promises to deliver plenty of laughs.

The animation in “Kachou No Koi” is flash-based, which means there are static figures sliding across the screen with two-frame mouth-flaps and blinking. The artwork is also below average. But hey, this show isn’t about the visuals—it’s all about the comedy. If you find on-the-job sexual harassment, pedophilia, realistic sex toys, and gay love triangles funny, then this show might just be your cup of tea.

Verdict

As much as I may not be a fan of yaoi anime, “Kachou No Koi” will undoubtedly tickle the funny bone of fans of the genre. However, if you’re not into boys-love jokes, this may not be the series for you.
