Ore Monogatari Episode 12

ore monogatari episode 12

Are you ready for some juicy secrets about Ore Monogatari Episode 12? Well, this is going to be the last blog post I write on this topic! But wait, let me explain myself first. You see, I’ve been having a deeper problem with Ore Monogatari!! that made me realize it’s probably not the best show for me to blog about. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed this week’s episode, but there are shows that are good to blog and shows that are not. And, for me at least, Ore Monogatari!! falls into the latter category.

Let me break it down for you. The most satisfying episodic blogging I’ve done so far has been on shows like Zankyou no Terror and Your Lie in April. These shows allowed me to truly engage with them, to have a dialogue with them. They were ambitious, thought-provoking, and added a whole new layer of meaning to the experience of watching them. But Ore Monogatari!! is different.

Now, don’t get me wrong, Ore Monogatari!! is not a worse show because of it. I’m not one of those people who thinks that comfy, easy-to-watch shows are somehow inferior. I value my comedies and slice-of-life anime just as much as my grand, thematically-rich shows. But the thing is, Ore Monogatari!! doesn’t have that same depth. It’s a show that wears its heart on its sleeve, and it’s all about being funny and cute. And while there is some nuance and subtlety to it, it’s just not enough to sustain the kind of intense analysis that I’m used to applying to my episodic posts.

So, what I’m trying to say is that Ore Monogatari!! is best enjoyed when you just sit down, watch it, and appreciate it for what it is. It doesn’t demand or require anything more than that. And for me, as a blogger, it just doesn’t offer me enough material to write about week after week.

Now, let’s talk about the episode itself. There were many cute moments, like Takeo’s awesome ice skating skills and Yamato’s lack of them. Takeo’s parents meeting Yamato’s parents was also quite entertaining, especially Takeo’s dad desperately trying to find a connection with Yamato’s dad. And let’s not forget Suna’s amazing troll! It was a great moment when I realized I was right about [Murafujisaki???] being a girls-only college.

So, there you have it. These are my very brief thoughts on what I liked about Ore Monogatari!! Episode 12, my lengthy thoughts on why and how I write episodic posts, and my mini-essay on the type of show I think Ore Monogatari!! is. I hope you enjoyed reading this article, and I apologize if you’re upset that I’m ending weekly coverage on this show. But fear not, because I’m looking forward to starting fresh with a new Summer 2015 show that I really want to write about on a weekly basis. Stay tuned for more exciting content from Fecomic!
