2. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

In the list of Best Anime, the difference between the position of the runner-up and first is almost negligible.

Because now it’s a matter of preference which anime do YOU think deserves to be the best out of the two?

However, the one anime that seems to be deserving of this spot is in my opinion, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

This 64-episode-long TV anime aired back in 2009. It is an anime adaptation of manga series.

The manga was written and illustrated by Arakawa Hiromu. It’s the tale of the Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse who tried to perform the biggest taboo.

These two guys tried to revive their dead mother back to life using alchemy but ended up losing their limbs and making an abomination.

Now, these guys are after the Philosopher’s stone that defies the most important law of alchemy.

That is, ‘To achieve something, something of equivalent value must be given.’ Philosopher’s stone has the potential to create anything from nothingness.

This journey of the Elric brothers would take an unexpected turn as they get to know about the dark secrets of this world they live in.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a work of art. For the most part, this anime is another shounen but the excellence in execution for this series is brilliant.

No wonder it was The Best Anime of all time for so many past years.

Whether it’s critical acclaim or sheet enjoyment, this anime is excellent in every field making it one of its kind.

Enter Eren Yeager, a kid who has the dream to take a jump toward the outside world and realize what lies behind the walls.

However, his dreams shatter when suddenly, a colloidal title breaks the first wall, and all the people behind it experience the worst nightmare they could have potentially had.

Eren Yeager himself witnesses his mother being devoured by a titan and thus, swears to kill all of them.

Thus, he joins the Scout Regiment, is assigned to take on titans, and works his way to become stronger.

However, soon he realizes that the true threat to humanity isn’t Titan. Attack On Titan is the series that set a new benchmark for any anime that has ever come out.

Its spectacular foreshadowing, influence, critical, acclaim, and commercial success are some of the many reasons why this anime has topped this list.

This anime has brought a new revolution with itself and now the anime industry is going to take a new direction right in front of our eyes.
