Ichijinsha, the publisher of Wotakoi, has just announced the launch of a new web manga label called comic HOWL. This new label will focus on Vocaloid, horror, and “emotional youth” themes. And guess what? Wotakoi’s creator, Fujita, will be debuting a new manga titled Villain under this label!

And if you’re an English reader, you’re in luck! Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the English version of Wotakoi.

For those who can’t get enough of Wotakoi, there’s even more good news. The manga will have a spinoff that will be available on pixiv’s digital manga service, comic Pool. So, you’ll get to dive deeper into the world of Wotakoi even after the main series has ended.

Wotakoi also inspired an 11-episode television anime that premiered in April 2018. It streamed on Amazon Prime Video, capturing the hearts of fans worldwide. The anime even had three original anime discs that were bundled with the manga volumes, providing fans with extra stories to enjoy. And if that wasn’t enough, there was also a live-action film adaptation of Wotakoi that premiered in Japan in February 2020 and became an instant hit.

Takeoka and Tiv, the creators of this popular manga, launched it in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Rex magazine in 2012, and it concluded in June 2018. Masamune-kun’s Revenge also received an anime adaptation in January 2017, which was streamed on Crunchyroll and dubbed in English by Funimation.

For fans craving more, there’s good news! Masamune-kun’s Revenge has a spinoff manga titled Masamune-kun no Revenge after school. This spinoff was published in Monthly Comic Rex and concluded in January 2019. The stories were then compiled into a single volume, which was released in April 2019. And thanks to Seven Seas Entertainment, English readers can also enjoy this spinoff.
